We are done…finally
It’s going into the books as the longest harvest on record. That’s right, the 2013 grain harvest officially ended in the wee morning hours on December 7 around 2:30am. High moistures in the corn and adverse weather were the contributing factors to our extended season. We definitely learned a few things this year and will do a couple of things different next year. This year was a constant reminder that the Lord is always in control and you better “make hay while the sun shines,” or when it snows, or rains, or freezes. In the end, we persevered and feel blessed to have all the grain in the bins.
